About Carefree Travel

After graduating from Central Florida Academy of Travel in 1992 I went to work at Windermere Travel in Orlando, Florida. I was trained by some great advisors and when my time was finished there I moved to Colorado in 1998 to join the family business, CareFree Travel Associates, a full service travel agency with many years of experience.

We decided to move forward with our agency and joined The Travel Society (a host agency) in 2000 and have been with them ever since. This move brought us access to many aspects of the travel industry that we couldn’t get on our own including being a member of the Virtuoso consortium that specializes in deluxe and luxury travel. When my Mom, Jan Nance retired in 2020 I became the owner of CareFree Travel and have been thrilled to own CareFree Travel, since.

I have traveled extensively and at the end of 2023 I will have visited all 7 continents! So exciting! I advise and assist my clients with travel in the United States and abroad from solo travelers to extended families and groups of friends.

For several years now, we have been entrusting most of our travel reservations to Jan and Michelle at CareFree Travel of Boulder. We first worked with them when booking our professional travels at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Afterwards, we then asked them to also help us with our private travels overseas, which most recently culminated with a romantic honeymoon in Mexico and an extended vacation in French Polynesia. For years, Michelle handled all of our corporate travel needs. She was so helpful and dependable that we asked her to help us plan our dream wedding in Puerto Vallarta. She assisted us with every travel detail, from flights and rooms to the wedding location itself! The travel process was so easy and inexpensive that our “small” destination wedding ended up being rather large! I have recommended Michelle to numerous friends, coworkers and family members and would trust her with absolutely any travel request

My husband and I have been using Carefree Travel since we were married 20 years ago. They planned our honeymoon, which was unforgettable, a special trip with our oldest daughter for a graduation present, and most recently they arranged all the logistics for a trip to Scotland with my husband’s elderly mother. In fact, Jan and Michelle have arranged flights, rental cars, and accommodations for just about every trip we have taken, business and pleasure. Unbelievably, we have never been frustrated or disappointed. In an age where online booking is so common, we will continue to use Carefree Travel.
